Today is Buddy Holly's birthday, so here's a Holly track, a cover of a Little Richard hit "Ready Teddy", it was recorded in January 1958 with the Crickets Jerry Allison and Joe B Mauldin along with Norman and Vi Petty.

Great foot tappin' track failed to chart in the UK, reached US No 9 and R&B No 4 in 1958.

Another one of my favourite Cochran tracks, the lesser known Little Lou. Recorded in January 1958, but not released until 1964, on Eddis "My Way" album.

Eddie Cochran's one of my two favourite artists, this is one of his most well known tracks, it reached No 18 in the UK and No 8 in the US.
